John is President of Quadrex Resources, a consulting company based in Toronto. A skilled presenter, facilitator, business analyst and workshop developer, he has the ability to the ability to challenge customers to think differently about their work and how they do it.
He holds an honors degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. His industrial experience includes 11 years with Shell in Canada and the United States, in refinery operations, corporate planning, applied statistics, engineering design and computing; and 8 years with Petrosar, Canada’s largest producer of primary petrochemicals, where he held senior management positions in manufacturing, strategic planning, logistics and information systems. Petrosar was a Canadian pioneer in the implementation of teamwork, participative management and employee involvement.
John has helped dozens of companies in nearly every industry sector and has worked with customers in every province, half of the U.S. states, Mexico and several countries in Europe and Asia.
He has been certified by the American Society for Quality as an instructor for CMQ/OE and has helped ASQ develop question banks for this course. John has a success rate in the last 3 years of over 95%, (the average across North America is about 70%).
John is a frequent speaker at public, industry and in-house conferences.
He is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, and is a member of the American Society for Quality.
While living in Prince Edward County, John was a volunteer member of the Board of Directors of Quinte Health Care for nearly 6 years.
