Our expectation for deliverables is that the topic remains with a key focus on COVID Response by Loyalist College and targets the needs of the audience.  The webinar will be between 45 min -1 hr of presenting time and with a 30 min Q&A at the end.  We will be targeting a 1 hr. webinar but understand that sometimes may be less.

You’ll discover:

This webinar will focus on the changing landscape of retail and how it is impacting small businesses that sell or produce products in local markets.  The fundamentals of moving retail businesses online using e-commerce solution providers such as Shopify will be covered, as well as how social media can be integrated with traditional promotional marketing  to connect with existing and new customers.  Finally, the logistics behind how to take orders and get products to consumers will be addressed.

Our Expert

Scott Maybee is a Professor in the School of Business

Scott Maybee is Professor of Business at both Loyalist College and Centennial College in Toronto.  He has developed and taught a variety of courses in the Ontario college system since 2017.  While working in the retail industry, he redesigned Costco Canada’s fresh foods production planning, helped pioneer the company’s e-commerce division and improved fresh foods quality at Giant Tiger through improved logistics.  He has worked with global businesses and numerous fortune 500 companies, holding management positions in purchasing and retail category management, marketing and project management. He is also a local business owner and an active musician.  Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in finance/marketing from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing graduate studies.
