The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires employers to ensure at least one certified member represents management and one certified member represents workers on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). This training provides participants with an industry-specific knowledge of health and safety that is applicable to your workplaces.

Who should attend?

All JHSC members, including alternate members or other workplace parties, including supervisors and managers who have completed Level 1.

Level 2 – For Manufacturing Environments:

Each firm is responsible for conducting a hazard assessment, which determines its Certification Part 2 training needs. This one day program is more suited for a manufacturing environment covering the following topics:

  • Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) Prevention
  • Focus on Falls
  • Basic Machine Safety
  • Lockout and Tagout

Prerequisite: Basic Certification – Level 1

Duration: 2 Day (9am – 4pm).
