This is course is designed for anyone (no experience needed!) interested in a home/rental renovation or new-build project; beginner or intermediate level.

In this course, you will learn how to take control of your project through the following topics.

  • Budget – learn how to stay on budget, track expenses and plan for those unexpected costs
  • Schedule – learn how to organize and create a schedule to keep your project on time
  • Time – Efficiency strategies to allow for family and work commitments outside your project
  • Trade Choices/General Contractors – Tips to avoid unscrupulous or intimidating contractors

Michael Collins

Mike brings over 30 years’ experience in planning, scheduling and managing renovation and new build projects.  Mike graduated from the Construction Engineering Technician Program, Loyalist College.  He holds a Red Seal Carpenter license, Gold Seal Superintendent Certificate (Canadian Construction Association), and is a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering and Technologists.  Mike has managed his own rental properties for over 25years and was a member of REIN (Real Estate Investment Network) along with other investment clubs.

5 day (Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 pm)

Locations:

Loyalist College (Belleville)

Investment: $180.00 + HST per person.

Requirements: Bring your small or large project idea and learn step by step how to put your plan together.
