This blended (self-paced & live instructor lead) course is designed for individuals looking to become Licensed Gas Technician 3’s (GT3) and currently working in the Heating/HVAC industry. The theory portion of the course is delivered online, with one day onsite (Shannonville ON) for the practical portion. Upon completing this course, individuals will have gained the knowledge to challenge the theoretical and practical portion of the Gas Technician 3 challenge exam through the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). Code books and training manual included in the course. Learners will be required to bring their basic hand tools (listed below) to the practical.

To successfully obtain your Gas Technician 3 license with TSSA, students, after taking this course, must:
- Book your TSSA GT3 Exam Challenge written exam directly with TSSA (applicable fees apply) and obtain 75% or higher.
- Book your TSSA GT3 Practical Exam directly with TSSA (applicable fees apply) and obtain 75% or higher. The Practical must be completed within 1 year of the written exam at a location provided by the learner, on equipment that is in working order.

For the practical, learners must bring:
- 8″, 10″ Adj. Wrenchs
- 1/4″, 5/16″ Nut Driver
- Basic Screw Driver Set that includes:
- #1, #2 Phillips
- #1, #2, #3 Square Head/Robertson
- Flat
- Pliers:
- Lineman or Slip Joint
- Needle Nose
- Wire Stripper & Cutter Combo
- 25 ft Tape Measure
- Utility Knife
- Soap Stone Pencil
- Safety Glasses
Prerequisite
Currently working in the Heating/HVAC field.
