Plien Air Painting with Stewart HoodREGISTER NOWJUL 27-AUG 31 The Plein Air painting course is all about painting ‘en plein air’, which means painting outside. Plein Air painting can be done in any medium. This course is focussed on painting outside in watercolours, but if anyone wants to paint in acrylics that’s fine too; however, acrylics do dry quickly – which can be worked with using slow drying mediums. With a 3-hour class you can choose additional views and paint a few watercolours. Part of the technique and style of plein air painting and especially watercolour is working a little faster to capture the sky and light and be more of an impressionist than a tight studio artist. Revisiting Old HabitsREGISTER NOWNOV 16-17, MAR 18 Over time, supervisors often become resistant to new ways or perspectives. It isn’t that they don’t want to consider a new perspective, and quite honestly, it might be ‘if it works, leave it alone’. Although that theory has merit, it can also be viewed as knowing their jobs, discounting change, digging their heels in, and continuing to use habits or processes based on their own beliefs of correctness in leadership thinking and doing. The more experience they gain, the more they use what has worked (maybe not perfectly) but it works. The landscape is changing. Every supervisor needs to have current knowledge of legislation together with refreshing themselves in methods to motivate and engage others. COST $795.00 plus HST |
