Camps for Children from Grades 4-6 (age 9-12)

Summer Camps @ Loyalist College take an interactive, discovery approach.  SKILLS Camps provide opportunities for learners to enhance their skill set and gain hands-on experience in a skilled trade.

Application review will begin in May, on a first-apply, first-approved basis, and continue until seats are filled.  All applicants are subject to College policies; details can be found at Important Camp Information.

Minecraft Modification & Automation

JUL 10-14 (REGISTRATION CLOSED – CAMP FULL)

Unleash the power of Game Design! In this SKILLS-based program, campers will learn how to modify and automate Minecraft gameplay using coding concepts and principles. Campers will create detailed game models and build their own levels from concept to completion with powerful tools used in today’s hottest games. The game design camp is unique, allowing campers to generate their own game ideas, build the content, and code custom levels with instruction specific to their concept.

Computer Game Design – Roblox

Campers will create detailed game models and build their own levels from concept to completion with powerful tools used in today’s hottest games. Construction Camp

Welcome to Construction Camp! In this SKILLS-based program, campers will have the opportunity to design and create their own unique item. Whether it’s a piece of furniture, a toy, or a piece of artwork, campers will bring their ideas to life using various construction techniques and tools. Campers will learn about design principles such as balance, proportion and symmetry, and how to incorporate them into their creations. By the end of the week, campers will have a deeper understanding and appreciation of construction and design, and how it can be used to create unique and meaningful objects.

For safety reasons, campers are required to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, have no dangling jewelry, and no clothing with drawstrings (e.g. hoodie or jogging pant strings).  Campers with long hair must have it tied up for class.
